Henry Holland is famous for his London Fashion Week shows, so when his House of Holland AW14 collection invite landed at Donna Ida, we couldn't wait to see what he had in store. For AW14, the theme was Debauched Debutantes with the invitation arriving in the form of a red wine and lipstick-stained table cloth fitting perfectly with the theme of rebellious society girls at a raucous dinner party.
At the show we spotted Kelly Osbourne wearing House of Holland's SS14 collection and we were lucky enough to share the experience with his FROW's hottest fash pack including Lily Allen and Kelly Osbourne.
As expected, the House of Holland AW14 collection was filled with loud bold prints in true Holland style. The show was oozing fun, energy and colour as the models strutted down the catwalk in his outrageously fabulous designs.
The collection displayed sequins and glitter galore with a whole lot of fur in striking pinks, blues, greens and oranges. His trademark graphic cocktail print was again a staple runway look with Henry's favourite pom pom injecting humour and fun. Brightly coloured fur and textured jackets were teamed with bold pieces and statement heels.
The cheeky British designer amused his adorning crowd of friends and fans with witty slogan tees, including a coat emblazoned with ' Rich Bitch' on the back. Tight polo neck jumpers layered nearly every look and teamed with ripped, distressed blue slouchy skinny jeans.
His signature satirical wit was present in his tongue-in-cheek use of a sketch of the front page of The Sun newspaper, cleverly subverting the mass market newspaper into his high fashion pieces, teaming it with a sporty silk textured bomber jackets and metallic separates.
All over embellishment and prints are key for SS14 and are growing in importance for AW14 with lipstick prints, retro patterns, quilted luxe fabrics and pom pom details all creating a multi layered mix of bright and bold pieces.
Henry Holland's celebrity friend Lily Allen flew the flag for Henry and took his sequin dress straight from the catwalk to the stage to wear at the Brit Awards.
AW14 will be in store and online in August 2014. Pictured below: Assistant Buyer Natasha Cobham,
