As our Sample Sale pieces have been used to create our production please expect that they will have been used for photo shoots and will have been in the sampling room for quality control and measuring. We also sample across a wide range of sizes for wash trials and wear trials, which means a piece could have been worn to trial the fabric’s performance. If a piece is in more noticeable wear condition this will be highlighted in the description and the price will reflect this. Samples are made to create a style and sometimes it takes several samples to get to the final place where we are happy that a style can join the Donna Ida family, so please bear this in mind when purchasing a sample. Some pieces will be brand new but just didn’t pass our quality control and were not approved for bulk production. If there is something more noticeable such as a zip isn’t in the right position this will be noted, if it is just that the wash or fabric isn’t correct it won’t be noted as only we would notice it. The garment may therefore have a full price swing ticket on it but we didn’t accept these pieces as production from our factory. And then there are pieces that were full price on our website and we only have one or two left so we add them to the sample sale to clear them, or we may have added them to a sale and any units left have been added to the sample sale. This event is a unique place to grab a bargain or look for the one that got away if you missed it on the website.
