We are huge fans of Vogue magazine and we literally fight over every single issue when it arrives each month! So imagine how excited we were when Vogue’s lovely Junior News Editor Ella Alexander popped into our Belgravia store to meet with our Stylist Jo.
Ella visited the Denim Clinic to update her Autumn Winter wardrobe, where she admitted that finding the perfect jeans is a shopping trip no one gets very excited about.
Luckily the Donna Ida Denim Clinic is designed to help nervous shoppers, so Jo started off by offering Ella some classic styles to ease her in gently! Ella really liked the simple skinny jeans saying, “These will be great teamed with black biker boots and a Breton striped top by day, and with chunky heeled Chelsea boots, a silk vest and pearls for night.” Ella’s favourite styles were: Citizens of Humanity Avedon Slicks in Divine, Hudson Nico in Chelsea and J Brand 910 in Ink.
Jo was also keen to show Ella the new styles for the season including coloured cords and bright skinny jeans. Ella thought the fashion forward styles were a good alternative to blue denim. She said, “Although the cropped red cords were a little too French-man-on-a-boat for me, I loved the electric blue skinnies and was really surprised by how tempted I was by such a bright colour.” Ella’s top fashion pieces were the J Brand 511 in Black Cherry, the J Brand 811 in Riviera Blue and the Mother Rascal in Red.
Ella’s winning style was the James Jeans Twiggy in Clean Black, as she said: “I can’t wait to wear these, they are without doubt the most comfortable pair of jeans I own.”
The Denim Clinic also received the ultimate Vogue endorsement from Ella as she was so excited with her new jeans.
