DONNA IDA: How did you get started in the fashion industry?

Maja: At first it was just a natural passion for fashion but over time brands started to send me beautiful clothes to wear and so it evolved into a business and is now my full time job.

DONNA IDA: How did you come to be in London?

Maja: I left Slovenia a long time ago and I moved around to finish my studies, then I was living in LA until my VISA ran out so then I knew it was time to come back to Europe. I knew London was a great city and I had friends here so it was fate.

DONNA IDA: What are your wardrobe essentials?

Maja: For me, jeans, white T-Shirts because you can never have enough, good boots, sandals plus the perfect little black dress and little white dress.

DONNA IDA: What are you looking at for AW17

Maja: The midi skirt and a colourful pink or blue suit. And I am still planning for Fashion Week!

DONNA IDA: How do you wear your jeans?

Maja: I so many different types of jeans; skinny, mom jeans, stretch jeans, baggy jeans, high waisted jeans and shorts...so it is hard to say just one! But with my body shape, I'd say the most flattering for me is the high waisted skinny jean like the Rizzo shape because it makes your legs look longer. I like fun jeans as well with a print like the Boy Dazzler in Star Spangled or denim with added embellishment or pearls.

Maja wears the modern uniform, perfect for London street style and for girls who travel. Shop - That's Not Cricket Cashmere Knit and DONNA IDA Rizzo Jeans.

DONNA IDA: Who would be your denim icon?

Maja: I normally like the style of Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung, more of a classic look.

DONNA IDA: Where do you think girls are best dressed?

Maja: What I really like is girls from New York or London and bigger cities, you see people can really be themselves and you see them running around in cool, different styles, it is very inspiring. I really like just going for a coffee shop and people watching and observing what people wear.

DONNA IDA: What are your travel tips?

Maja: For the plane I always like to be comfortable so oversize sweater, leggings or sweat pants with sneakers. For Summer, I often leave my suitcase packed and just swap out essentials. But for Fashion Week, I will always need to be more considered and make sure I have my outfits planned.
