At this time of year I know exactly what I want to wear; I'm looking for blue jeans that show a flash of Summer skin with cool silk tops and easy cashmere jumpers. IDA Margot the Culotte is the perfect style; it's nice and high-waisted which cinches in to give shape so you can tuck tees and blouses into them. IDA Margot is a cropped style that flares from the hip to a 22 inch leg opening and comes in a 60s Bardot wash which is a soft vintage inspired worn-out shade which I've teamed with a navy Cut Loose Miss Maggie pussybow blouse from DONNA IDA.
Lots of people worry about length with a cropped style, but don't worry. If you're petite like me, you might want to alter your jeans and get them hemmed to the perfect length, or try cutting off your hems - find out how in our post on how to Rip, Fray and Distress Your Jeans. If you're taller, you can release the hems on your jeans to add a little extra length as I have above. Awkward lengths are on-trend for denim at the moment so embrace it and finish off with strappy flats or high sandals.
IDA Margot in Milk is a nice fresh colour for Summer in a soft white which looks sharp with a monochrome Sailor's Bib Cashmere Jumper pictured above with my Goyard Bag. For AW16 I've added Margot in Blackest which can be worn with chic courts or black boots in Winter. I've finished off with a Pallenberg Scarf and Cut Loose Shirt to complete the look.
We launched Margot with a breakfast on the roof terrace at The Hari Hotel in Belgravia where I was joined by Adela King, Angela Radcliffe, Antonia O'Brien, Candice Lake, stylist Charlie Moore and influencer LornaLuxe.
Margot has also been a key shape for our Style Insider features as seen on HELLO editor Rosie Nixon, bloggers Belle&Bunty, actress Jodie Comer and Mademoiselle Robot.
A pair of denim culottes will be your new wardrobe staple; they are so versatile and easy to wear. Make sure you tag me in your photos wearing IDA on Twitter and Instagram @donnaida
