ELLE Magazine's Influencer Dinner

I met the formidable Lorraine Candy, editor of ELLE magazine, last year in Donna Ida at Westfield London where I managed to persuade her to enter the Denim Clinic and she came out armed with five essential pairs of jeans to take on the fashion world with. We've become great friends, (she updates me on the fast-moving magazine world and I keep her informed on the best denim each season), so I was honoured to be invited to her join her ELLE Influencer dinner last week.

The concept was to gather a rather fabulous group to edit ELLE for the night, joining together to discuss important topics that make up the ongoing conversation about what matters to us as ELLE readers.

Held at The W Residences at the W Hotel in London’s Leicester Square, the views were incredible from the luxury 8th floor penthouses where we enjoyed an amazing dinner (my favourite was dessert of caramelised banana with a spiced milk chocolate sauce - amazing!).

I was joined by a host of influential fashionistas including broadcaster Kirsty Wark; novelist Emma Forrest;  food writer Gizzi Erskine; Deputy Editor of the New Statesman Helen Lewis; artist Amy Gadney;  Commissioning Executive for Film 4’s Film4.0, Anna Higgs; TV and radio presenter, Jameela Jamil and PR Jonathan Hackford.

Our discussion on what feminism means today will be in ELLE next month - to read more on ELLE's Influencer Dinners, you can read more here.
