Donna in Paris

Donna Ida Paris
Last week Tash and I went on a trip to Paris to visit the Emma Jones Consultancy showroom. We were showing our new AW23 collection, so I took the opportunity to buy as many carbs as possible. As ever, I documented the trip so you can copy my culinary journey if you wish!

I packed

I find jumpsuits are the easiest to pack. Think one and done, no need for complicated blouses or loads of layers.

I packed Dolly the Flight Suit in Midnight Mission which luckily camouflaged my coffee spillage (it is amazing like that!) and layered up with my poncho. I’ve had so much wear out of my chunky black Chanel boots, they have been my wardrobe staple all winter.

Tash packed

Tash, who is six months pregnant, looked amazing in Lola Dungarees from our collaboration with Fran Bacon with a chunky cream jumper underneath.
She also packed Jess Jeans with trainers, a striped shirt and chunky scarf. Her final outfit was our mid-rise Blanche Jeans with a black jumper and classic Prada loafers.

We stayed

We snuggled up together in a typically cosy Paris hotel room at Soho House Paris. It is a super cute 19th-century building in Pigalleand it merges Art Deco and 1940s-inspired interiors.

We ate

I’m Donna and I have absolutely ZERO will power. I stock-piled french biscuits including Lu Palmito, Gavottes Cookies Crêpe Dentelle, Bonne Maman Galette.

We dined

Tash and I have travelled together many times before. We try to order exactly the same so neither of us get food envy. Breakfast was avocado on toast with a poached egg and lots of strong coffee.

We ate at Cafe Ruc Paris (I went way back in 2013) and we ordered salads with a huge bowl of fries finished off with profiteroles.

We shopped

There’s always time for shopping so I looked at the other brands in the Emma Jones Consultancy showroom. Check out this beautiful heart shaped necklace from Roxanne First and fitted jacket from Veronica Beard.

Suitcase

I ALMOST left this on the Eurostar, but luckily I remembered and went back for it. My silver case from Away Travel is a very chic but understated companion and the perfect size for two days.
