Everyone that I know does something different on Christmas Day. I spend the majority of mine in front of a fire at my parent’s house so my outfit can be pretty casual. However, for those of you who spend it at hotels, restaurants or with extended family and friends it can be an entirely different matter. Here are a few of my style suggestions for Christmas day outfits depending on where you’ll be spending yours…
Low key celebrations:
Hudson has a great skinny this season which actually feels like pyjamas so these would be the perfect jeans for a Christmas feast. I would team these with a basic tee from Splendid or LnA and this gorgeous knit by Odd Molly. This would be a cosy outfit for snuggling up on the sofa with chocolate and champagne.
A full family affair:
If you are expecting friends and family on Christmas Day, then it’s better to be a little more elegant but you still want to be comfortable. I would suggest that you try the Citizens of Humanity Avedon in Divine; it’s a really smart wash but still has plenty of stretch. A blouse by Tucker would work perfectly as the fabric falls beautiful and flatters all shapes, I really love this print for Christmas.
Fine dining festivities:
If you spend Christmas Day at a restaurant or hotel then your attire will need to be super chic. Navy is great option, I particularly like either the J Brand Major or Nobody Cult Skinny I would team these with a blouse by Winter Kate and this beautiful coat from By Malene Birger.
