On Wednesday night I went to a dinner at the Charlotte Street Hotel hosted by Jo Elvin, the Editor of Glamour magazine, for Gaby Basora, the designer of Tucker. I knew it would a fun evening because Jo and Gaby are two of the coolest, funniest women I know. They're both a hoot and I always have a ball when I'm with them. Add those two to another twelve equally fabulous like-minded women and you have a dinner to remember.
Before dinner had even started we sat down to what was Christmas and birthday all in one - Jo presented everyone with a beautiful Jo Malone candle, and Gaby hand selected Tucker pieces for each guest that she knew they would love. In my package was a classic blouse in pinks and coral tones, one of Gaby's pussy bow blouses (Gaby knows I'm a sucker for a pussy bow) in the coolest green you've ever seen, a slim fit shirt in a cornflower blue print, and a big poppy print sarong that I'm going to team with my favourite Melissa Odabash black studded bikini this summer. I could hardly concentrate for a full ten minutes while we all checked out what each other got.
