Halloween dressing can be tricky, and somewhat limited to fancy dress options. As Miranda in Sex and the City put it : "The only two choices for women; witch and sexy kitten."

If you're a fashionista, Halloween is the one occasion where it can be near impossible to look good. Fake blood (so not chic), fangs (what about our perfect white teeth), witches hat (hello, our hair). So we are advocating a chic, stylish Halloween outfit; an outfit that you won't be cringing at on Facebook when you see the photos the next day and that you could happily be seen out in public in.

First up, leather. If you haven't been seduced by the power of the luxe J Brand Leather Leggings yet, then now is the time. The new colour of the AW13 season is Blueberry which look fabulous teamed with model Angela Radcliffe's Chanel thigh high boots. A Sorceress needs a statement coat like this L'Agence Gentleman's Coat in Charcoal for an air of mystery and a sheer Equipment Signature Shirt in Dark Army .

A textured Pyrus Gene Cape in Black can give any outfit a devilish touch. Wear it over super skinny jeans like the J Brand Liberty Skinny in Photo Ready Graphite or try a Muubaa Leather Skirt to vamp it up.
