The Best Blue Jeans

The longer I work with denim the more I become obsessed with it.  People often ask me how many pairs of jeans I own…and how many more do I actually need?  My answer is always the same; “You can never have too many blue jeans”.  Here are my top picks for blue denim this season.

Skinny:

I absolutely love the colour of the Nobody Cult Skinny in Domino.  The wash is a true denim colour and the kind that you had about 10 years ago and haven’t been able to find again until now. They are also a high-rise so they are incredibly flattering on all shapes and sizes. The Cult Skinny is the perfect everyday jean to wear with flat shoes or sandals for running around this Summer.

Straight:

My favourite straight leg jeans at the moment would be the Paige Skyline in Stream.  If you are looking for a straight leg jean, then this is my fail safe style.  The wash is very dark so it’s very flattering and the detail is so simple yet enough to give it character.  This style is so chic; I can imagine every woman in Paris owning a pair.

Bootcut:

The ultimate Bootcut is by Hudson and is called the Beth Baby Bootcut in I Want To. This style makes all bottoms look a lot perkier and legs instantly longer and thinner. It’s my top choice if you are looking for an elegant evening jean and it goes perfectly with a top, jacket and heels.  They are the most versatile and neutral jean available.

Boyfriend:

Boyfriend jeans are a must have style for Summer as they are comfortable and fun. Current/Elliott makes the best Boyfriend styles every year and this year is no exception. I particularly like the Skinny Boy in Mississippi as the wash is a lovely soft colour which is perfect for Summer; there are also a few abrasions on the denim which look great. Wear this style with a Summer sandal or a pair of heels and a structured top to balance out the look.

Flares:

Mother Denim is a relatively new brand but they really have entered the market with a big bang. Their denim is one of the softest you will ever feel and their flared styles are amazing. The style that I will be wearing this summer is the Mellow Drama in Stardust.  They are a high waisted flare so it will flatten the tummy and elongate the legs and make any woman look fabulous this summer. Wear them with a Tucker blouse tucked in and a pair of heels to get the 70’s look
