BOLD BRIGHTS
Laura wears: J Brand Kinsey skinny jean, Equipment blouse & Roseanna jacket
"Summer is coming and colour is here. I went for a complete orange look whilst picking up the colour again in my Christian Louboutin shoes and Roseanna blazer. I even added my well-loved Dolce & Gabbana earrings which make the look even more vibrant. You can do a lot of colour but you have to follow a theme."
PRINT HYPE
Laura wears: Mother Denim Looker skinny in Cherry Pickin & IRO Haven Woolen jacket
"I teamed these new-in Mother jeans with my statement orange Cambridge Satchel bag. These jeans are a great addition to the well hyped print trend, but I feel the motif is so refreshing. Also I added a white peplum top with an apricot IRO jacket to take out the intensity of the colourful jeans. I like to give my outfits a bit of a casual twist."
MODERN CLASSICS
Laura wears: J Brand Jodhpur skinny jean, Victoria Beckham jumper & Des Petits Hauts Risoto blouse
"My favourite look. For me it is the perfect outfit, for running an errand, a nice lunch or a casual meeting. These jodhpur jeans are classic with a modern feel. I combined them with a navy striped Victoria Beckham jumper and my Chanel boy bag. These classics are never out of season."
SWEET FLORALS
Laura wears: Current/Elliott Stiletto skinny jean &Equipment blouse
"I love Equipment shirts at the moment. I especially like them fully buttoned up. It's a conservative look but selecting a cool colour and styling it with these Current/Elliott jeans and some Repetto loafers, it makes the whole outfit a lot more relaxed."
Q&A with Laura Hofmann
Where are you from and when did you move to London?
I was born and raised in Munich, Germany. When I finished school I moved to London to study Fashion Management at London College of Fashion. Since then I have been based in London, which is nearly 5 years.
Tell us about Lalike - where did your inspiration come from?
Lalike is a unique shopping platform. I wanted to create a community that is based around shopping, trend alerts and people who actually share their style and interests with friends and other followers. The idea slowly developed over time during my last year of studies where I focused on the future of online fashion.
Where in the world are the people best dressed?
London, I think. For the reason that London is the most international place I know. You can find any style, any time of the day, wherever you go. After London, it is 'Parisian Chic' for me.
How would you describe your personal style?
I like including the latest must-haves of the season with my basic wardrobe staples and some high street bits.
Who are your style icons (past and present)?
I don't have a style icon as such. I don't want to follow anyone's style but instead get inspired and do it my way. I think the latest hype around the fashion editors is justified, they do an amazing job on a daily basis to look great but approachable at the same time.
What are you listening to on your iPod or reading at the moment?
I love listening to music but I must say that I don't really know who or to what I am listening. I downloaded the Marlon Roudette album last week and love it. I am not the greatest reader either but the latest book I have read, which is my all time favourite now, is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.
What is your best industry advice?
I went live with Lalike at the end of last year, so I am quite new to the self-employed fashion industry. A few key things have helped me so far: organisation, discipline and communication.
