"I'm a sucker for anything leopard print and I instantly fell in love these Current/Elliott cord skinnies. I've kept the look simple with a grey oversized knit and grey Louboutin court shoes. "
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I’m from the Mumbles in Swansea. Although I went to boarding school in Malvern and then university in Durham before settling in London 9 years ago. Although London feels very much like home to me now there’s nothing quite as lovely as going back home to Wales and being with family.
"Baroque is going to be a massive trend next season and these J Brand Brocade jeans are a great way to nod to the trend without going OTT. I've given them a grungy edge with the IRO Phoebe Jacket and Slices monochrome scarf. I've finished off the look with my Anya Hindmarch navy Huxley clutch."
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF - HOW DID YOU GET INTO FASHION?
It wasn’t the simplest of routes. I studied Philosophy at university and when I graduated I was offered a job in fashion PR. However I soon realised that it was journalism I was far more interested in and suited to. After an internship at the Telegraph I was very lucky to be offered the role of fashion and beauty assistant at Stella, The Sunday Telegraph supplement magazine.
"I love the 70s vibe of this look. The retro mustard shade of these Current/Elliott skinny jeans is the perfect match to the Equipment butterfly blouse. The rich mustard hue is a great way to wear colour for AW12 and will look fab against grey, leopard print and denim."
WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO SHOP?
I mostly shop online now. I’m so busy with StyleNest that I never quite find the time to shop and online shopping is so convenient (too convenient). Aside from Donna Ida of course, I love to shop at Matches, Net-A-Porter, Zara and Whistles.
"Equipment's bright orange blouse is a chic way to add a touch of neon to your look. I've dressed it down with ripped, high waisted Nobody jeans and chunky heel sandals. I've accessorised the look with my favourite Hermes scarf and Anya Hindmarch red Huxley tote."
HAVE YOU ALWAYS WORKED ONLINE?
No I started out in print. My first online role was as Fashion and Beauty Editor at Red Online where I really caught the bug for all things online. Increasingly everything is slowly becoming digital and it is such a great medium to be working in.
"My collection of boyfriend jeans is steadily increasing but these Goldsign's have to be my favourite. I've paired mine with Equipment's new cashmere crew neck and Miu Miu Leopard print courts to add a bit of glamour to my relaxed, tomboy look."
WHAT IS YOUR BEST INDUSTRY ADVICE?
Don’t give up. Jobs are far and few between but intern where you can and make as many contacts as possible. It will pay off and you will be at the right place at the right time. Interning is really hard work for little reward but it will be worth it one day. Also get as much experience in all aspects of the industry, from writing to styling etc. The more skills you have the better.
SLEEK AND CHIC
"Paige's Skyline skinnies are a wardrobe staple. They are so easy to dress up with a silk blouse and pair of classic courts. I've finished off my look with this fun Pyrus gilet and a red lip to make the print of this gorgeous Tucker blouse really pop."
