The countdown to the Royal Wedding is on and Kate Middleton is in the spotlight more now than ever. Kate is no fool when it comes to fashion and has been preparing for her new role as Princess by already sporting this iconic shade of royal blue. Kate's sophisticated and chic fashion sense has now set this royal blue colour trend on fire.
When we looked back at vintage photos of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' wedding we couldn't help notice the fashion comparison between the two. Kate wears this iconic colour with such sophistication and glamour. She is starting to look just as graceful as the late Princess Diana don't you think..? This colour trend is not only for elite Royalty but has been making it's way down the runway with the same luxurious feeling with such designers as Prada and Diane Von Fustenberg creating their own versions using the deep blue palette in their collections.
This royal colour is refreshing and well suited for the nautical trend this summer season. Evening and cocktail dresses in electric blue were also the most captivating look among the collections on the runway. Be careful though as this royal and electric blue trend isn't easy to pull off for everyone. One rule of thumb is to keep it simple and don't overdo it!
