The Shape
Curvy girls tend to be more proportionate all over with wider hips, waist and bust. The key to wearing denim when you’re curvy is to stick to styles that flatter your natural shape rather than detract from it, you should choose styles with plenty of structure and just a little bit of give.
How to wear it
The straight leg jean is a key style for a curvy figure as it will elongate your legs and assist in creating a much more balanced overall shape. However, don't be afraid to try slimmer leg styles and baby bootcut's. Try jeans that are made of heavy-weighted denim with a small amount of stretch; a lighter weight denim or something with too much give may not provide the structure and support that you want.
Similar to pear shapes, a curvy figure looks great in high-waisted styles that will hold-in the waist and give your figure shape. Darker washes are a little more friendly to the figure as they will help to lengthen your legs and disguise any problem areas, however some subtle shading or whiskering on the leg will help slim and elongate the leg.
Adding a pair of heels will also help elongate your legs. Make sure you buy jeans that are slim fitting, if your jeans are too loose then you will drown your body in fabric and give the illusion you are bigger than you really are.
