All my friends know I am a jeans junkie, so my heart nearly skipped a beat when my stylish girlfriend Ivana Seiberer sent me a SOS from Paris fashion week. Almost as exciting as the shows themselves is people watching as the world’s fashion glitterati gather around the Tuilleries and the cool Parisian shops and cafes. It is a great way to trace the new trends.
” Its all about the red skinny jean” she text ” So many fab girls wearing them”.
The overnight suspense was killing me! I envisioned all the different ways in which I could wear my new red J Brand 811 skinny jeans. What a great alternative to the black, blue, grey syndrome. Chuck on a Givenchy ankle boot, blazer, and my Hermes cuff, Mmmmmmm. I could feel a Chrissie Hynde moment coming on.
The next morning I was straight on the phone to lovely Claire atDonna Ida in Chelsea to see when this fabulous red Jean was landing and I felt such torture when she told me I had to wait a whole week!
Anyway, now Ivana and I have them and love them and have had a laugh chasing them. Doesn’t she look fab in her J Brands? I love how she is working it with the vintage leopard fur, silk shirt and the “Grumpy” cap (she isn’t) she picked up in Disneyland. That very afternoon we were on the terrace of our lovely friends apartment overlooking Westbourne Grove checking out the scene, when my darling friend Fiona Knapp who always seems to have everything first due to her natural style radar, walked by with her cute son Jackson decked out in guess what..? The fabulous J Brand 811 in Shanghai red! She looks SO hot don’t you think?

Hello Angela!
A bit of a blast from the past here but do you remember your role as “Nimbella” the WeatherGen from the 1996-2001 Powergen weather idents? I’m a self-published author/illustrator and have always been a huge fan of the “Gens.” By sheer chance I met Carolyn Corben, the creator of the characters, last year and she encouraged me to publish the stories I’d written about the WeatherGens. Nimbella was one of my favourite WeatherGens and I would be so grateful if you could get in touch and share your experiences of being involved in them and I would love to send you a copy of my WeatherGens book. Also if you know the names of the people who played Norwin, Florta and Mirka, please please could you let me know as I’m having trouble tracking them down. All I know is that Mirka was played by an Italian model with the surname “Felix.”
Kind regards
Nikki
