Where are you from?
I'm from sunny California but have lived in London for 12 years now and it's home.

Tell us about yourself - how did you get into fashion?
Believe it or not I sort of happened upon the fashion world. I studied English Literature at Georgetown University and then moved to San Francisco to work with a marketing company. A few years later I had the opportunity to work on a big event hosted by Valentino in LA and that's when my fashion career began. A year later my husband and I moved to London, I took an internship at Vogue and haven't left in 12 years.

Where do you like to shop?
Shopping for me has to be as efficient as possible - either a one stop shop like Selfridges where I can touch and feel or if I’m after something really unique I stop into The Shop at Bluebird. For vintage jewellery I always visit Felt. Everything else is done online and of course Donna Ida for jeans and Tucker shirts. When I'm in the US I always visit J Crew to buy T-shirts and basics.

Who are your style icons (past or present)?
I'd like to always wear bold shoes a la Sarah Jessica Parker and always look as chic as Natalie Massenet - who never tries too hard. On holiday I’d like to look like Jackie Kennedy in her Onassis days.
“My own style is my own style - I read magazines, am surrounded by new fashion, and observe all the stylish girls but will always wear what I feel comfortable in.”
Where do you get your inspiration for your interiors and style?
I never really know exactly where my ideas for my home come from, they pop into my mind and I follow through with them and hope for the best. But I'm sure it is a mix of travel and magazines (from which I keep thousands of tear sheets) and Pinterest, my new guilty pleasure that provides endless inspiration.
What is your best industry advice?
Work as hard as you possibly can at whatever tasks you are given!
